We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to join the NGINX Product Management team. We're looking for someone with a proven security and compliance background who is passionate about creating great products and is fun to work with.

What you will be doing as a Product Manager?

  • Develop and drive security and compliance requirements for the NGINX portfolio.

  • Partner with F5 Security team and the WAF, WAAP, DoS PM owners to develop product strategies and roadmaps that deliver on NGINX’s security strategy and is aligned with F5’s overall security mission and priorities.

  • Define problem statements and product requirements led by a customer and community focus.

  • Design and prioritize security features and standards, taking into consideration market trends, customer needs, and competitive differentiation.

  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver new features with velocity.

  • Define priorities to ensure successful product launches on time and with quality.

  • Collaborate across Sales, Marketing, and other functional teams to drive GTM activities and sales enablement.

  • Drive usage and adoption of our products with customers.

  • Evangelize features internally and externally to ensure that the value to customers and community is well understood and Sales and Marketing is enabled to drive wins.

  • Engage with customers to drive adoption of products, identify unmet needs, and confirm use cases are achieving the intended goals.

  • Establish clear and measurable metrics and KPIs for transparent tracking of what success means now and into the future.

  • Be accountable for the success of security and compliance products and capabilities with visibility for business reviews.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in application security.

  • Solid understanding of networking, layer 3/4 networking (TCP/UDP), Programmability at the data plane and control plane (REST, OpenAPI), and knowledge of HTTP, HTTPS, Certificates, etc.

  • Solid understanding of application delivery and application security concepts.

  • Understanding of Kubernetes, containers, microservices and related environments, and cloud-native ecosystem.10+ years of experience as a product manager, technical product manager, or equivalent.

  • Strong customer orientation, able to listen, prioritize and champion key initiatives and projects for product development.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technology clearly.

  • Flexible, self-motivated, positive teammate.

  • Ability to work independently or lead others on projects.

  • Excellent leadership, negotiation & persuasion skills.

  • A working knowledge of NGINX.

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $170,192.00 - $255,288.00
