Position Summary

The senior knowledge management specialist for Technical Communications is responsible for optimizing and maintaining the content integrity, CCMS, and publishing pipelines for the technical communications team. The ideal candidate will have a passion and skills for planning, organizing, and validating topic-based DITA/XML content, as well as creating and implementing the CSS specifications to support a variety of publishing pipelines. This position also includes programming, primarily script writing for validations, customizing DITA plug-ins, and troubleshooting publishing failures.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure publishing pipeline in AEM (from AEM Guides to Sites) is up and running.

  • Provide operational support by resolving incidents, requests, and problems associated with the CCMS, authoring, and publishing systems.

  • Work with internal partners to increase content findability by defining and leveraging a taxonomy.

  • Maintain up-to-date configuration and recovery documentation for assigned systems.

  • Ensure ongoing communications regarding system issues/activities with all stakeholders: department executives and managers, end users, TS staff, vendors, customers, etc.

  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Flexible, self-motivated, team player

  • Good Problem Analysis and Solving Skills: ability to troubleshoot a complex issue down to potential contributing components, identify root case if possible or gather supporting evidence for escalation.

  • General ability to incorporate daily sustaining roles with progress on strategic improvements, issues, deciding what requires the greatest immediate attention, and coordinating actions to layer focus to achieve the greatest efficiency.

  • Scripting and automation experience

  • Understands the software development processes at a high level

  • Knowledge of Rest APIs

  • Familiarity with oauth and authentication

  • Familiarity with automation

  • Familiarity with AEM

  • Familiarity with Git

Qualifications

  • College degree in Communications, Knowledge Management, or equivalent applicable experience.

  • Experience in topic-based authoring and single sourcing

  • Familiar with Coveo and SEO.

  • Knowledgeable of CCMS systems administration, content workflows and architecture.

  • Familiar with designing new taxonomies and with creating ways to hold teams accountable to using them

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong organizational, analytical and execution skills

  • Flexible, self-motivated, team player

  • 5 to 8 plus years of proven success in content management
