Role Overview

We provide services that ensure applications are delivered secure, fast, and reliable. Change the world with a click of a button and venture into “The Cloud”. You will develop best-in-class services and products that mitigate, analyze, monitor, visualize, and lead traffic across the globe in public and private clouds, data centers, and customer premises. You will provide quality solutions while keeping focus on high availability, scalability, maintainability, and security while working with a stellar DevOps team! With an eye for orchestration, automation, and monitoring of services in any environment - you will be responsible for the evaluation, design, development and implementation of products and services running in scrubbing/data centers and migrating them into public clouds.

What You’ll Do

  • Handle customer generated issues based on issue severity and business needs

  • As a second tier of Engineering level support, act as the primary technical contact for assigned escalations and drive them to resolution

  • Participates in a 24/7 on-call rotation to assist with technical escalations

  • Provide technical mentorship to lower level engineers

  • Conduct presentations and/or technical brown bag style training, internally and externally

  • You can expect to spend about 70% of your time working on Urgent/Non-Urgent escalations (customer issues), and 30% on other DevOps projects as needed

What You’ll Bring

  • Requires 3+ years of related DevOps experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience with at least one software configuration management system (Puppet, Ansible, Nomad, Terraform)

  • Experience with VMWare, KVM and/or Docker. Setting up, configuring, documenting, and maintaining virtual machine environments

  • Strong scripting skills in at least two disciplines (Python, Perl, Bash, Ansible, Golang, etc..). Create and maintain scripts and tools to automate the configuration and usability.

  • Good understanding of troubleshooting networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, HTTPS, VLANs, DNS, load balancing and firewalling, etc…

  • Strong analytic/troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Not Required but nice to have:

  • F5 BIG-IP and/or other Load Balancer experience is a BIG plus

  • Experience with Monitoring and Alerting (Zabbix, Prometheus), Linux is a plus

  • Experience working with Kubernetes
