What will you do?

You will be the principal data strategist and insight lead for Customer Success. You'll accelerate and optimize data operations and reporting infrastructure and drive the data narrative in connecting Customer Success actions to Customer outcomes and predictable recurring revenue for F5.

You will also:

  • Collaborate with all levels of the organization and inform Customer Success strategies using and developing data driven business insights to support F5 business goals of retaining and growing our recurring revenue base.

  • Lead a team of Customer Success data analysts to aid the organization in utilizing data to create business insight, while considering automation and repeatability.

  • Responsible for developing the team of data analysts to ensure they deliver high quality work for our business while growing in their careers and preparing for the next level of responsibility.

  • Foster a culture of customer empathy, partnership, and continuous value creation.

  • Drive quarterly business reviews for executive-level reporting, insights, and analysis on Customer Success impact across the customer ownership journey.

  • Gather information and coalesces data into presentations and other materials; collaborating across multiple business lines to ensure successful delivery of results in support of our enterprise-wide missions and strategic goals; coordinating communication of strategic progress to senior leadership, and stakeholders.

  • Partner with cross functional teams to identify both expansion opportunities and key drivers of churn to develop a common framework for continuous performance improvement, including reporting, sales generation and churn mitigation plans across all F5.

  • Conduct complex market and industry analysis to understand and illustrate the size of opportunities and define the appropriate KPIs (key performance indicators) and measures of success.

  • Influence and guide the origins of customer, community, and competitive market data and insights from internal and external sources to substantiate recommendations and decisions.

  • Analyze and synthesize current and past trends in key performance indicators including revenue, adoption, utilization, churn and creatively determine other leading indicators for value creation and market leadership.

  • Regularly meet with cross functional teams such as Product teams or Finance leaders to inform strategic direction and maintain alignment with our group's primary missions and goals ensuring accuracy and alignment across F5.

  • Deliver key insights to executive leadership to inform strategic decision making.

  • Drive innovation and strategic thought leadership within your domain, leading communities of practice, and collaborating with partners and vendors.

How do you qualify?

  • Showcase 5+ years of experience in strategy & business planning roles, analyzing services, customers, and market dynamics

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in technical studies or demonstrate equivalent industry experience

  • Demonstrate a bias towards data-driven decision making that incorporates analytical, critical, and creative thinking

  • In-depth understanding and extensive experience of using financial and commercial drivers to inform and challenge strategic plans and decisions

  • Solutions orientated with an entrepreneurial attitude

  • Ability to deliver complex messages clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences and formats (written, verbal) and gain buy-in when needed

  • Have the confidence to engage, present, influence, and challenge constructively at the executive level and build relationships at all levels

  • First rate analytical and Excel skills with motivation to keep sharpening these skills over time

  • Highly skilled and efficient at leveraging PowerPoint to communicate frameworks, concepts, and data insights for executive audiences

  • MBA preferred

  • Nice to have: Solid understanding of networking, application delivery, and application security concepts

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $126,319.00 - $189,479.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
