We seek a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Program Management leader to join the Business Transformation Office (BTO)! The BTO is an enterprise function that drives initiatives tied to F5’s strategic priorities by providing program management, organizational change management, and business process optimization. This role specifically will lead the team of program and project managers and oversee our portfolio of strategic and complex initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, exceptional leadership abilities, and a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leaders, drive process improvements, and ensure the successful execution of critical business initiatives. This role will partner with other BTO leaders to mature and standardize our program management function. This enterprise-wide role's unique benefit and scope is accelerating delivering value at scale to realize F5’s transformation efforts. This person is a leader with high emotional intelligence, strong critical thinking, strength working cross-functionally, and an ability to influence and lead others to achieve program success.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of program managers and project teams to drive the successful delivery of enterprise-wide projects and initiatives.
- Develop and implement program management best practices, methodologies, and tools to enhance project execution efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define strategic objectives, prioritize initiatives, and allocate resources accordingly.
- Ensure initiatives have clear outcomes, scope, success criteria, and alignment with overall business objectives.
- Provide guidance on change management frameworks and strategies to ensure successful program outcomes.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across various business units and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations on project status, milestones, and key performance metrics, and risks.
- Identify and escalate risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement to drive continuous enhancement of project delivery processes.
- Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence within the team and across the organization.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional growth, and development.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide a geographically dispersed team, which may include vendors.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, from team members to executives.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, resource allocation, budget management, and risk assessment for large-scale initiatives. Experience with mergers & acquisitions integration efforts is a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of program and project management methodologies – waterfall, agile, kanban, etc. and tools to facilitate efficient planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of enterprise-level processes and the interplay between functions, particularly Product Management and Engineering, Customer Support, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, Technology Services, Finance, and Accounting.
- Strong interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and ability to develop effective partnerships across the company to engage, align, and gain stakeholder buy-in.
- Ability to provide thought leadership in ambiguous situations.
- Ability to think strategically, act tactically as needed, and be willing to roll your sleeves up.
- Has a learning mindset and keeps up with industry trends, research, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- MBA or equivalent desired
- PMP, PgMP, or other relevant project management certifications are highly desirable
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in program management, with a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex, high-impact projects at technology-based companies or within technical domains

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $149,436.00 - $224,154.00F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
