Position Summary

Engineering is a core discipline at F5 for many roles. As a software engineer specializing in products and services, you will bring a modern, agile development mindset to your work.

As an SDE-II, you will be developing, configuring, and enhancing software applications and services. Incorporating engineering best practices into the design, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and support of software and service solutions, you will work with other engineers and other teams to develop novel solutions and technologies.

What You’ll Do

  • Apply modern engineering principles and practices to solution delivery and employ this rigor throughout the full software lifecycle; from initial concept and architecture through deployment with guidance from other senior developers in the team

  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills and collaborate with fellow engineers to devise innovative solutions that align with technical standards and business requirements.

  • Follow engineering best practices, including all phases of the process from design to deployment.

  • Design, build, and maintain simple to medium solutions with a security first mindset.

  • Contribute to the opportunities for architectural improvements, optimizations, and innovations.

  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

  • Good understanding of DevSecOps best practices.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA or equivalent work experience

  • 2+ years engineering experience in supporting or implementing Oracle CPQ, or other similar quoting tool.

  • Proven ability to develop and deliver software solutions.

  • Good knowledge of at least one high-level language

  • Understanding of agile and lean software development
