Join our Global Services Data team within Global Services Support and help us realize our goal of providing insightful data visualization, machine learning modeling, and predictive analytics to help our business teams report on internal metrics.

On this team, you will work closely with key stakeholders to develop and drive a strategic vision for our data capabilities. You will bring your knowledge, expertise, and a real passion for solving problems with data to innovate in all areas of our digital journey touchpoints, customer analytics, and reporting platforms. You will seek new and novel ways to expose previously unknown insights into our support related data. You will work to streamline our data collection and analysis systems and drive documentation of processes and standards. Additionally, you will collaborate with your data science peers across F5 to further our data capabilities.
What will you do?
You will provide technical guidance to the GS Data team in analyzing and understanding patterns in our data related to customer support, web portal user behavior, usage analytics, and the overall customer journey
You will collect and clean data from our data lake to build models for use in our analytics platform
You will maintain existing Tableau flows and workbooks as well as create new visualizations for the business
You partner and collaborate with data science peers across F5 to deepen our collective understanding of customer problems spanning the F5 customer journey, and discover solutions in our data
You’ll reliably communicate verbally and in writing to business customers and leaders at all levels with varying degrees of technical knowledge, educating them about our systems, as well as sharing insights and recommendations with the team
You will demonstrate programming and software development competence, and be comfortable working in an interdisciplinary, team-oriented, applied research and engineering environment.
You can prototype statistical and quantitative analysis, build machine learning models as well as work with engineering teams to deliver them to production
You will work with the GS Management team to define vision and strategic direction for our data maturity
You will, at times, lead, coordinate, and/or delegate tasking or other activities for teammates, interns, and/or additional resources from cross functional teams
You will work with multiple teams across Global Services as the need arises for cross-functional projects
You will identify areas of growth in resourcing, training, tools, and methodologies for our growing data team
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
You'll have a good understanding and hands-on experience in time-series signal processing, statistical modeling, and general machine learning practice.
You are a Tableau Desktop Specialist or Tableau Certified Data Analyst
Experience in programming languages such as Python or R
Experience with Data Science Python packages such as Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn
You can handle unit testing, machine learning model testing, a machine learning framework such as PyTorch
You naturally take ownership of your work and a desire useful and valuable outcomes
Experience with performing analysis on large data sets using tools like SQL
Experience with Databricks, Huggingface, MLFlow is a plus
Expertise in data modeling, cloud data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake), data ETLs. Experience in dbt is a plus
Strong experience in development and implementation of statistical and ML models
Experience in NLP, Transformers, fine-tuning open-source models is a plus
How do you qualify?
Showcase a minimum of 2 years related experience with a bachelor's degree; or 1 year and a master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
Experience in the following:
2+ years of experience in SQL
Building business facing visualizations and dashboards preferably in Tableau
Experience with mathematics, statistical and quantitative analysis, or machine learning a plus
Experience in applying statistical techniques in a business and/or marketing context using R or Python
Experience in experiment design, hypothesis testing and statistical analysis

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $92,225.00 - $138,337.00F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
