Role Overview:

The Major Account Manager (MAM) - Distributed Cloud (XC) Bot and Risk Management is a strategic sales position requiring an in-depth knowledge of how technology is used to enable business goals or overcome business challenges. This position requires strategic thinking/planning coupled with tactical execution of identified business opportunities. You will be responsible for running all facets of the sales cycle with target accounts while ensuring revenue goals are being met. You will maintain contact and build relationships at relevant levels in the accounts, focusing on the strategic nature of the relationship.

This is a business development role, thinking about the future and designing non-linear models of scaling sales. We develop programmatic initiatives, leveraging cross-functional teams in product management, marketing, channels and sales to drive the growth in the business on top of the quarterly business cycle.

Your focus will be on F5’s SaaS platform, leveraging the technology to help customers in their consolidation journey and streamlining their operational cost.

This role reports to the Director, Sales - F5 Distributed Cloud Bot and Risk Management and is based out of Singapore. Travel across ASEAN and broader Asia Pacific will be required.

What You’ll Do:

  • Articulates the F5 Distributed Cloud Security and Risk Management product strategy, understand customer pain and business objectives, and position F5’s value-add solutions

  • Presents solutions in-person and virtually, as appropriate for the opportunity and sales stage

  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technical and competitive developments, and government regulations that effect target markets

  • Researches and develops lists of potential accounts and contacts within those accounts, regularly follow-up on leads and develop new leads, and acts to close deals

  • Develop and maintain relationships with the F5 sales teams in your region in order to drive awareness, interest, and opportunities with them and within their accounts.

  • Build relationships with net-new external prospects that represent ground-breaking customers and use-cases

  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales metrics in your defined region

  • Provide accurate sales forecasts with knowledge of sales cycles from initial contact through the procurement process, and ensure SalesForce is utilized appropriately and maintained on a regular basis

  • Develop quotes based on bills of material and manage discount negotiations with sales teams to win deals and maintain profitability goals

What You’ll Bring:

  • BA/BS degree preferred with 10+ years of direct work experience in a relevant environment (SaaS Security)

  • Experience selling SaaS and Managed Security Service solutions

  • Understanding of Bot and Fraud threat landscape

  • Understanding of cloud provider technologies and their value proposition

  • Engagement with senior decision makers up to the C-level to articulate business goals and benefits

  • Strong solution selling and presentation abilities with advanced client interfacing and closing skills

  • Sales excellence skills and processes including pipeline management and forecasting

  • Proven efficiency working across multiple business units to achieve results

  • Track record of external communications e.g., conferences, meet-ups, online and social-media

  • Ability to be able to deal with ambiguity and have a start-up mentality to resolving issues

  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies
