THE ROLE:
We’re a startup, about to deliver our Instrument and platform to early-adopting customers this year.
The Office Manager & Administrative Assistant will report into the Senior Operations Associate, owning daily office operations and management of administrative tasks. You will support employees across the business to assist with scheduling and travel logistics and implement processes for efficient office operations. Your impact will be immediate, as you will be the first person in this position at Volta Labs.
This is a critical role that has high autonomy and interdisciplinary potential, perfect for someone who is eager to roll up their sleeves and dig right in to a rapidly growing startup.

DAY TO DAY AND YEAR 1

  • Implements and maintains systems of efficiency for all office operations.
  • Ensures smooth visitor process from initial coordination through visitor departs.
  • Provides scheduling, travel, and administrative support to the key leaders of the company.
  • Within 3 months you’ll… Complete onboarding, improve office operations by creating systems of ordering and inventory, understand the calendar cadence of the key leaders you will be supporting, begin greeting visitors and creating an effective visitor process.
    By 6 months you’ll… Own office operations, support key leaders directly.
    At 12+ months you’ll… own the administrative function at Volta, continually evolve all processes as the company scales, understand future administrative priorities and strategize with the People Ops team to accomplish administrative goals.

YOUR EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Has 2 - 3 years of relevant experience working in office administration
  • Has acquired a knowledge base of office manager responsibilities, systems, and procedures from working in an on-site, fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Has managed dynamic calendars for company leaders.
  • Is able to manage competing priorities and juggle multiple tasks
This is a full-time position that requires a significant amount of in-person work and collaboration onsite at our Seaport Office in Boston, MA. If you are unable to relocate or commute to the Boston MA area, this role won't be a match.
