As a Warehouse Clerk at Viome's Bothell, WA office, you will support our lab operations by managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and samples. The Warehouse Clerk will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of supplies, equipment, and specimens within the lab, enabling efficient lab analysis and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving & Inspection:
  • Receive incoming shipments, inspect items for accuracy and quality, and log them into the inventory management system.
  • Verify contents of shipments against purchase orders or shipping documentation.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, supplies, and materials.
  • Organize and label inventory items for efficient storage and retrieval.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Order Fulfillment:
  • Pick and prepare lab supplies and materials for internal lab operations or customer shipments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of samples, reagents, and other lab supplies to internal departments.
  • Sample Handling & Management:
  • Handle and store laboratory consumables, ensuring proper labeling, tracking, and preservation according to lab protocols.
  • Prepare and pack consumables for shipment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Adhere to safety procedures and protocols related to hazardous materials, biohazards, or chemical handling.
  • Ensure the warehouse area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Logistics Coordination:
  • Coordinate with lab staff, procurement, and external vendors to manage inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Arrange pickups and deliveries with courier services, ensuring efficient and timely transport of lab materials.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory levels, and stock discrepancies.
  • Prepare reports on inventory status and shipment activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or relevant certification in logistics or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse, inventory management, or shipping/receiving role, preferably in a lab or healthcare setting.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and software.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).Familiarity with handling lab samples, chemicals, or hazardous materials is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, move, and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and moving throughout the warehouse.
  • Key Competencies:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with lab staff and vendors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
