Vicarious Surgical
Vicarious Surgical is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, India. This individual will be employed by a Professional Employer Organization (PEO), but doing work specifically for Vicarious Surgical. This role will be tasked with supporting electrical development of equipment associated with our surgical robot.
Vicarious Surgical is a US based next generation robotics company developing a disruptive technology with the goal of increasing the efficiency of surgical procedure, improving patient outcomes, and reducing healthcare costs.

Working hours of Monday through Friday (Office hours start at 4PM to ensure significant overlap with US hours)
Responsibilities
- Manage a moderate scope of work including ownership of some subsystems within a larger piece of equipment.
- Ensure all technical documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date.
- Define test objectives, methodologies, and success criteria to ensure thorough evaluation.
- Analyze test results, identify issues, and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Contribute to the design and development of test fixtures as needed.
- Support prototype assembly and modifications to meet design specifications.
- Work with internal and external resource to produce highly functional prototypes
Skills Needed
- Proficiency in Altium Designer required, with demonstrated ability to create and refine schematics, optimize complex PCB layouts, and accurately maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Understanding of Design for Manufacturing, Design for Inspection, and various assembly techniques required
- Comfort with and understanding of the interplay between various components of a complex, electromechanical system and collaboration with multiple functional groups desired
- Experience with medical device product development and the 510(k) submission process preferred
- Prior experience with test strategies to advance from prototypes to finished products helpful
- Ability to work independently and autonomously when necessary
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas and give/receive constructive feedback
- Prior experience working on a Robotics Systems and/or human input devices is a plus
About You
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 4 + years experience with Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 + years experience with Master’s Degree
- Passion for excellence in product development
