Your Opportunity:
We are seeking a hands-on Systems and IoT Engineer to design, deploy, and support IoT-based automation and monitoring solutions. The role involves working across hardware, firmware, networking and software integration, with significant responsibility for on-site system deployment and troubleshooting. You will collaborate closely with software engineering and operations teams to deliver robust, real-world IoT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy IoT systems using Raspberry Pi, Arduino and other SBC platforms
- Program and integrate solutions using Node-RED and Python
- Design and develop simple electronic circuits using off-the-shelf components
- Interface and integrate MODBUS, analog and digital sensors using standard industrial and IoT protocols
- Work with MQTT, HTTP, REST APIs, and other IoT communication protocols
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Wi-Fi, Zigbee and other wireless networks
- Deploy end-to-end IoT solutions from sensor hardware to backend systems
- Work with software engineers to develop solutions for ingesting and processing sensor data
- Troubleshoot sensor, network, and communication issues across different hardware and system layers
- Perform hands-on system installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning at project sites
- Work closely with operations and software engineering teams to design and implement effective system solutions
Qualifications and skills:
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
- 3–5 years of experience in IoT systems, embedded systems, industrial automation, or related fields
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, EEE, or a related discipline
- Hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and other SBC boards
- Proficiency in Node-RED and Python
- Knowledge of IoT communication protocols such as MQTT, HTTP, and REST
- Experience with MODBUS and analog/digital sensor interfacing
- Ability to design basic electronic circuits using off-the-shelf components
- Understanding of wireless networking technologies (Wi-Fi, Zigbee, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across hardware and software layers
- Self-driven and able to work independently, managing on-site responsibilities effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to perform hands-on work during deployments and field installations
Bonus Points:
- Familiarity with water quality management or basic farming systems is a plus.
- A passion for sustainability and eco-friendly practices.
- Familiarity with CAN Bus communication system
Additional Details:
- Candidate must be fluent in English (both written and spoken).
- This role is open to Singapore Citizens and PRs only due to work pass quota constraints.
- Availability for on-call duties during non-business hours to address immediate issues.
- Flexibility to occasionally work weekends or holidays, as our facilities operate 365 days a year.
