As a Senior MEP Engineer within Research & Development (R&D), you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing HVAC, electrical, and plumbing details and solutions at Veev, while leading the MEP discipline within the R&D team. You will design and coordinate manufacturable, scalable, and Veev-compliant MEP solutions, ensuring Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) and cost-effectiveness while adhering to applicable codes and standards. This role provides the opportunity to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary design teams and cross-functionally with partners in manufacturing and assembly in order to contribute to Veev’s continued growth.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading the design and development of innovative HVAC, electrical and plumbing solutions, optimizing manufacturability and reducing production costs by leveraging cutting-edge techniques.
  • Design prototypes and test protocols to assess the feasibility and manufacturability of proposed solutions.
  • Acquire deep understanding of Veev’s technological system, analyze pain points and highlight opportunities for improvement.
  • Approve and ensure quality control (QC) of MEP engineering work with regards to mechanical standards, methods, and details, ensuring consistency and efficiency in design practices.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and cross-functional departments to develop new products and enhance existing ones.
  • Mentor and guide team members, share knowledge and set MEP technical standards.
  • Informs stakeholders on developments through design reviews and cross-functional discussions.

Requirements, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering from a reputable institution.
  • 7+ years of hands-on MEP design and engineering experience with a proven A-to-Z track record.
  • Deep understanding of MEP systems design (HVAC, HV, LV, Water, Sewage and Fire Suppression).
  • Significant experience with multidiscipline work within construction or product industries.
  • Exceptional proficiency in using Solidworks and SolidWorks PDM.
  • Innovative thinker with a proven ability to apply solutions from various practices and fields.
  • Self-motivated and capable of exercising independent judgment based on technical expertise.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Familiarity with manufacturing, product life cycle development, and design for manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with BIM software and methodologies, specifically Revit.
  • Experience with American Building Codes.
