Veev has developed a vertically integrated approach that involves multi-disciplinary collaboration across real estate, design, development, engineering, manufacturing, and construction.

The Role

At Veev we develop homes as a product, by pre-fabricating the home in our factories and transporting the pieces to the various sites for final assembly into a finished home product. Our site operation is a natural extension of our factory assembly line and has unique opportunities to develop remote assembly processes. As we continue to expand operations, Veev’s field construction division is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the projects in the field. The Project Engineer will be responsible to record issues, RFIs and drive to resolution, support all field teams as problems arise, review and approve plans and specifications and more.

In this role, the applicant will need to juggle various types of challenges, while demonstrating the ability to be multi disciplinary and flexible while thinking and acting with a sense of ownership and urgency.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, forward, and track the status of submittals; RFIs, design changes, Issues
  • Review, approve and distribute plans to the field teams
  • Support superintendents through execution and problem resolution
  • Shop drawing/submittal coordination
  • Monitor/document job-site safety and accident prevention
  • MEP systems coordination and problem resolution
  • Participation in/documentation of project coordination meetings
  • Supervision/coordination of subcontractors’ field installations
  • Research and suggest options on construction means, methods and equipment
  • Review, create and maintain As-Built plans
  • Quality control and project closeouts
  • Attend meetings, take meeting minutes and distribute minutes

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management Required
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Project Engineer
  • 3-5 years of construction experience required
  • Valid California Driver’s License
  • Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to use Procore, BIM360, Bluebeam, Raken, AutoCad
  • Proficient in using of Primavera Scheduling, Claim Digger, and Microsoft Software
  • Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Presentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including identifying data quality issues
  • Results-oriented and able to complete tasks on deadline with little supervision
  • Ability to make good decisions using sound, professional judgment
  • Up to 25% travel

Compensation

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skills, education, experience, and location is $125,000 - $140,000 annually for Hayward, CA and surrounding areas.
