About This Role
Managing technician work force driving toward manifest defined production milestones.
Brief Job Description:
The Build Team Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the build team, ensuring that all build activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with manifest need dates. This role provides hands-on leadership, assigns and monitors work, enforces quality standards, and acts as the primary communication link between the build team and cross-functional partners such as Engineering, QA, Product Management, and Operations. The Supervisor drives process consistency, resolves blockers, maintains clear documentation, and supports the development and performance of team members. Success in this role ensures that builds are delivered on time, to specification, and ready for downstream testing and deployment.
· Lead team of technicians
· Timely build, assembly, repair, and test of components, subassemblies, and vehicles in a cleanroom environment to hit production targets
· Create, maintain, and execute production plans
· Supervise daily schedules and workloads
· Assess and hire skill sets needed
· Create and execute training programs
· Proactively coordinate with engineering and supply chain to prevent schedule delays
· Review work instructions to make change recommendations when required and identify tooling/training gaps
· Identify and resolve repeated non-conformance issues
· Gather and provide required data for build metrics
· Own and improve production environment

Without a build team supervisor, The Build Team Manager will struggle to allocate enough bandwidth to all of their individual reports, resulting in knock on effects like:
· Builds slow down
· Quality decreases
· Communication breaks
· Deadlines slip
· Team performance declines
What are the Swimlanes
Build Execution Management:
· Oversee day-to-day build activities. Take manifest schedule drivers and distribute the relevant tasks to the floor staff on a daily basis to meet those
· Provide status updates, risks, and timelines. Roll build progress updates up weekly to senior management
· Monitor progress and remove blockers to daily progress
· Monitor and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Production build staff (Utilization, Quality, Efficiency, etc…)
· Actively monitor and influence team morale
· Performance Management of Technicians
Pay Range
- Salary Range: $120,000-$152,000/year
- This role is on-site in El Segundo, CA
- Leveling and base salary is determined by job-related skills, education level, experience level, and job performance
- Offer compensation also includes the ability to receive stock options under the Company's Equity Incentive Plan.
