About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Business Central professional with a robust background in accounting, cost accounting, and AI, who also has hands-on experience collaborating with supply chain teams on inventory management and costing. Ideally, you have worked within the space or aerospace industry. This role will drive optimization of financial and supply chain processes, champion AI-driven solutions, and enhance inventory and cost management.
This is a full-time, exempt position located in our El Segundo headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, tailoring solutions for complex accounting, cost accounting, and supply chain requirements.
- Collaborate closely with supply chain and operations teams to optimize inventory management, costing, and demand forecasting using Business Central’s integrated features.
- Oversee and enhance internal financial controls, including inventory valuation, journal entries, accruals, and cost allocations within Business Central.
- Lead or support cost accounting setup, including cost types, cost centers, cost objects, and allocation processes.
- Develop, maintain, and automate robust financial, inventory, and cost accounting reports, ensuring data integrity and actionable insights.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement AI tools (such as Copilot, Power Platform AI Builder, or similar) to streamline accounting and supply chain workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance reporting.
- Leverage Power BI and SQL queries to create management reporting.
- Participate in system upgrades, data migrations, and integration projects as needed.
- Stay current with Business Central, AI advancements, and industry best practices, especially as they relate to the space industry.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including configuration, customization, and support for accounting and supply chain modules.
- Deep understanding of accounting principles and practices, with demonstrable expertise in cost accounting and inventory costing.
- Practical experience collaborating with supply chain teams on inventory management, demand planning, and costing processes within Business Central.
- Experience implementing or supporting cost accounting modules, including cost center allocations, cost object tracking, and cost reporting.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools relevant to finance, supply chain, and ERP (e.g., Copilot, Power Platform AI Builder, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review data, identify inconsistencies, and drive process improvements.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and user training.
- Experience in the space, aerospace, or high-tech manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
Preferred/Bonus Skills
- Certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or related Microsoft certifications.
- Knowledge of integration tools and experience with system integrations or customizations.
- Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
- Exposure to Azure, PowerAutomate, and/or MS SQL.
- Experience with C/AL, AL code, or legacy Dynamics NAV is a plus.
- Experience with AI-driven process automation or data analytics in a finance or ERP context.
