As a Sr. Financial Analyst, Sales FP&A at ThoughtSpot, you will be at the forefront of driving and optimizing the financial performance of our Sales, Professional Services, and Customer Success organizations during a critical phase of growth. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a leading global tech company as it advances toward an IPO. You will provide high-impact financial insights, build and refine models, and deliver analyses that guide strategic decisions, empower operational efficiency, and drive sustainable growth across key business functions.

What You'll Do:

  • Plan and Manage OpEx: Oversee and monitor operating expenses for the Sales, Professional Services, and Customer Success teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and efficient resource allocation.

  • Optimize Professional Services Delivery: Track and forecast the cost and efficiency of Professional Services, providing actionable insights to improve margins and delivery effectiveness.

  • Enhance Customer Success Spend: Analyze and forecast spending on Customer Success initiatives, focusing on enhancing retention, customer experience, and long-term value.

  • Strategic Financial Partnering: Collaborate with department leaders to align financial plans with operational priorities, ensuring strategic and financial objectives are met.

  • Streamline Financial Planning: Leverage Adaptive Planning to enhance budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, increasing efficiency and accuracy across the organization.

  • Drive Budget Accountability: Conduct comprehensive Budget vs. Actual (BvA) analyses, highlighting variances, trends, and opportunities to improve financial accountability and decision-making.

  • Deliver Spending Insights: Provide monthly variance analyses on departmental spending, identifying cost-saving opportunities while supporting operational effectiveness.

  • Enhance Financial Processes: Improve financial processes by implementing best practices, ensuring data accuracy and readiness, and maintaining the integrity of financial information.

  • Collaborate on Ad-Hoc Projects: Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver ad-hoc financial analyses and projects, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.

  • Build Stakeholder Relationships: Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, offering timely and relevant financial insights that align with company goals and objectives.

What You Bring:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), or related fields, preferably within a SaaS or technology environment.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting, with hands-on experience using Adaptive Planning or similar financial planning software.

  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of conducting in-depth financial analyses and translating findings into actionable insights.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and effectively to various stakeholders, including senior leadership.

  • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams, influencing and collaborating effectively to achieve common financial goals.

  • Process Improvement: A proactive mindset focused on process optimization and continuous improvement, with experience implementing best practices in financial reporting and data management.

  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring high-quality financial outputs and data integrity in all analyses and reporting.
