About the Role:

We are looking for a junior Product Manager (Pricing Analyst) to support our pricing and usage analysis. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to ensure customer facing usage and billing reports are useful, accurate, timely and comprehensive. You will support an engineering team as a product owner.

You will play a key role in managing customer queries related to pricing and usage, performing acceptance testing for requirements, and help conduct detailed research on pricing strategies. This includes evaluating discount levels, customer query consumption patterns, and identifying areas for improvement in our pricing models and calculators. Your insights and support will directly impact our ability to deliver a seamless customer experience and improve our pricing strategy.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Serve as the product owner for the usage & billing engineering team, managing the investigation of customer billing discrepancies and troubleshooting usage dashboards.

  • Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to gather, clarify, and prioritize billing and usage requirements.

  • Perform acceptance testing for changes related to billing and usage to ensure accuracy and alignment with business needs.

  • Conduct detailed research on pricing topics such as discount levels, consumption patterns, and competitors to inform potential changes to our pricing model.

  • Support the development of our pricing calculator by identifying improvements and ensuring that it reflects current market trends and customer behavior.

  • Assist in creating documentation and playbooks for the engineering team, ensuring that common billing-related issues are addressed efficiently.

  • Develop insights based on data analysis that can be used to refine pricing strategies and customer billing processes.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 2+ years of experience in product management, pricing analysis, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and interpret complex usage and billing information. SQL skills are a strong plus.

  • Experience in SaaS, cloud services, or data-driven product environments is a plus.

  • Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying discrepancies and inconsistencies in billing or pricing data.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams.

  • Basic understanding of pricing strategies and financial models; experience with pricing calculators is a plus.

  • Familiarity with agile product development practices and working with cross-functional teams.

  • A proactive attitude with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
