JOB DESCRIPTION
At Theatro, customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do. To help us build functional systems that improve the customer experience we are now looking for an experienced DevOps Manager. They will be responsible for guiding and mentoring a team that deploys new sites, and product updates identify production issues, and implements integrations that meet our customers’ needs. If you have a solid background in software engineering and are familiar with Ansible or Python, we’d love to speak with you.
OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE
· Manage the professional development and technical direction for a team of DevOps engineer
· Manage all aspects of solution deployment and technical operations
· Manage DevOps team, assigning and monitoring workflow and ensuring quality and efficiency is maintained
· Promote DevOps strategies and implementation goals
· Manage and improve deployment pipelines
· Triage and remediate production issues
· Plan, build, configure, test and deploy technology solutions
· Create and define monitoring operational standards and configuration
· Support and troubleshoot product and infrastructure issues in production environments
· Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
· Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
· Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
· Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
· Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
· Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
· Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
· Experience leading a team of DevOps engineer
· Proficient with git and git workflows
· Good knowledge of Ansible or Python
· Working knowledge of databases and SQL
· Problem-solving attitude
· Collaborative team spirit
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
· Experience with software engineering and customer experience
