About the Role

We’re looking for a mid-level (5+ yrs of experience) Product Designer to join our team at Tempo.

At Tempo, with the intersection of bleeding-edge technology, content steeped in fitness science, motivating coaches, and an experience that guides you through your routines, we have the recipe to help people stay committed, and achieve their fitness goals.

The ideal candidate is proactive and well-versed in the user-centered design process to solve complex problems. In this role you will work across the entire design organization to develop innovative patterns and systems that are durable, repeatable and set a new standard for craft across the company.

This role is West Coast based.

In this role, you will:

  • Day-to-day, you’ll work cross functionally (PM, Engineers, Research, etc..) to concept and deliver high-quality designs that will be shipped to our members.
  • Work on some of the hardest problems our members face:
    • Content Discovery: How people are recommended and/or search for content
    • Behavior: How we motivate them to keep coming back to the mat
    • Growth: How they are motivated to bring their friends & family to join the Tempo movement
  • Contribute to the whole product design lifecycle including ideation, designing wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, visual design, and creating detailed product specifications.
  • Partner with user research & product analytics on understanding our members’ needs and crafting solutions that meet/exceed those needs.
  • Partner with our design systems team to codify your designs, and ensure we have a scalable and coherent experience across both the Tempo Studio and Mobile Apps.

This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for a SF - based individual. Compensation will ultimately depend on job-related factors including skills and experience.

Tempo takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
