MGR, a Teamshares network company, is searching for a Jr. Research Scientist for a medical equipment manufacturing industry client in San Antonio. This will be a 2 month contract role.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with Research Projects: Participate and serve as lead in research projects, experimental design, and data analysis. This project revolves around donated human placentas.
  • Conducting Experiments: Perform experiments under the supervision of J4's primary PhD who currently resides in another state, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, record, and analyze data using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Sample Preparation: Prepare samples for experiments and analysis, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of experiments, procedures, and results.
  • Report Writing: Assist in preparing reports and presentations summarizing research findings.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with J4 PhD and staff members to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Following Protocols: Adhere to organizational procedures, protocols, and safety guidelines.
  • Meeting Deadlines: Work efficiently to meet project deadlines and budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Scientific Knowledge: A strong foundation in scientific principles and methods. Cleanroom experience would be helpful.
  • Laboratory Skills: Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques and equipment operation.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data using appropriate software and tools.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate scientific findings clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Organization: Ability to organize and manage time effectively.
