About the role
Mainstay is seeking an IT Support Lead to manage and improve the day-to-day IT operations that keep our team productive and secure. As we complete our transition away from our parent company, Opendoor, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth, responsive support and reliable access to the tools our teams rely on.
This is a hands-on, business facing role where you'll serve as the primary point of contact for all things IT. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the company to troubleshoot issues, streamline systems, maintain documentation, and ensure a consistent and high-quality support experience as we grow.
What you'll do
As Mainstay's IT Support Lead, you'll be responsible for owning and improving the employee IT experience. From onboarding new hires to resolving access issues and maintaining system hygiene, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our tools, devices, and systems run smoothly. You'll partner functionally with teams like People Ops and Engineering to ensure every employee is set up for success.
In this role, you will:
Serve as the primary contact for troubleshooting hardware, software, and access issues across Google Workspace, Slack, Okta, Jamf, and other tools
Manage IT onboarding and offboarding, ensuring new hires are set up for success and that departing employees have their access removed promptly and securely
Maintain our core IT systems by managing user accounts, permissions, and device management within a remote-first environment
Create and maintain internal documentation, including how-to guides and IT policies, to make support more efficient and enable employees to resolve basic issues independently
Collaborate with the people team on onboarding workflows and partner with engineering to stay aligned on security protocols
Continuously look for ways to improve IT processes, reduce manual work, and proactively resolve recurring issues
What we're looking for
Brings 5+ years of experience in IT, with a background that includes system administration, SaaS management, and supporting cross-functional teams
Has hands-on experience with tools like Slack, Google Workspace, Okta, Jamf, Apple Business Manager, and Rippling
Comfortable troubleshooting a wide range of issues and navigating ambiguity without needing step-by-step instructions
Communicates clearly and effectively, and can partner seamlessly with both technical and non-technical stake holders
Thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first environment where priorities shift and autonomy is essential
