Job Responsibilities:
- BOM scrubbing to address obsolescence, lead time issue, product enhancement and cost reduction activities
- Supplier PCN reviews, Manufacturing Change Notifications, supplier risk evaluation, supplier audits
- Monitor, identify and resolve all lifecycle issues and assist supply chain management team to identify appropriate substitutes for electric/electronic/electro-mechanical components.
- Finding alternate parts from different supplier with exact form, fit and function (perform Like for Like analysis/technical spec comparison study)
- Design Analysis – Like to like analysis during part change, Power, Derating, Tolerance, Thermal Analysis, Signal Integrity, DFM, DFA, DFT, and EMC etc.
- Maintain REACH/RoHS Compliance status on all components and system level assemblies
- Perform detailed Impact, Risk Analysis and feasibility testing
- Performing component level, Subassembly module, system level integration and Design verification testing to qualify the proposed alternates
- Create/analyze test reports based on results from test execution
- Change initiation creation as per design change process, Implementation of Engineering Change Order (ECO), PLM updates and Design Transfer
- Coordination with different supplier/test labs
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Hardware test equipment usage (eg. spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes)
- Knowledge of wireless networks and products
- Conduct failure analysis and perform Root cause analysis for failed units from field
- Ability to create ECOs, Deviations etc. in Arena BOM management environment
