About Synchron

Synchron’s vision is to build non-surgical brain–computer interfaces at global scale that protect the fundamental human rights of freedom of expression and autonomy. Our first mission is to develop motor decoders that restore the ability of 15 million people with paralysis to interact with the digital world. Our second mission is to develop whole-brain cognitive decoders that enable hundreds of millions of people with cognitive decline to preserve and expand their agency as cognition changes over time. In pursuing these goals, we aim not only to help humans flourish, but also to drive fundamental discoveries in human intelligence. Our team operates at the intersection of healthcare and technology, translating breakthrough research into real-world, safety-critical systems.

Workflow Optimization

  • Assess and document procedural practices at each implant site to identify efficiencies and standardization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal R&D, clinical, and education teams to refine implant tools and procedural steps.
  • Act as a liaison between field clinical sites and Synchron to ensure safe and successful implants and seamless implementation of protocol and procedural updates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, biomedical engineering, neurophysiology, or a related clinical discipline (RN, RCIS, PA, or RT highly desirable).
  • 5+ years of experience in neurovascular, interventional radiology, cardiac device implants, or surgical navigation.
  • Hands-on experience with sterile technique, procedural draping, tunneling, and intraoperative device handling.
  • Strong understanding of human anatomy, especially neurovascular and subcutaneous systems.
  • Experience delivering training to surgical staff and physicians in a field-based or clinical educator role.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently (up to 75%) to clinical trial and future commercial sites across the U.S. and internationally.
