This person will help shape and execute Sword’s social media presence across channels, with a strong focus on sharp writing, creative judgment, and digital instinct. We’re looking for someone who is deeply fluent in how the internet works: someone who understands platform dynamics, knows what makes content resonate, and can bring both taste and precision to the work.

You’ll help write, edit, and refine social content; critique and strengthen creative copy; and partner closely with designers to guide asset development for the channels you manage. You should be comfortable moving between strategy and execution: spotting what a post needs, tightening the message, and helping shape the visual direction so the final output feels native, intelligent, and high quality.

This role is ideal for someone who lives online in the best sense of the term: highly aware of digital culture, platform behavior, and evolving content formats, and able to translate that awareness into clear, effective work for a sophisticated brand.

What you'll be doing:

  • Help manage Sword’s social media presence across key platforms
  • Write, edit, and improve copy for social posts and related creative assets
  • Bring strong editorial judgment to content: sharpen hooks, improve structure, tighten language, and elevate clarity
  • Partner with design to guide the creation of social assets that feel platform-native and high quality
  • Adapt tone and format to different channels, audiences, and content goals
  • Identify content opportunities based on platform behavior, trends, and what people are actually responding to online
  • Help maintain a high bar for taste, consistency, and craft across Sword’s social output
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing and creative stakeholders to move fast and deliver strong work

What you need to have:

  • You are deeply digital. You do not just “know social media” in a professional sense - you genuinely understand how different platforms behave, how people communicate on them, and what good content looks and feels like in each context
  • You are an excellent writer with a strong command of language, structure, and tone. You know how to make copy clearer, sharper, and more compelling. You are articulate, creative, and highly online in a way that translates into judgment, not noise
  • You also have good taste. You can look at a draft or a visual and quickly tell what is working, what is off, and what should change. You are comfortable giving direction to designers and helping define the kind of asset a post needs, not by micromanaging design, but by having a clear point of view on what would make the work stronger
  • You are resourceful, fast, and self-directed. You know how to turn ambiguity into momentum

We think you’ll do great in this role if you:

  • Are extremely familiar with major social platforms and how content behaves differently across each of them
  • Have strong writing skills and can show proof of that through your work, personal channels, newsletter, portfolio, or similar
  • Have a clear point of view on internet culture, content formats, and what makes work feel current rather than corporate
  • Are creative, articulate, and detail-oriented
  • Have strong editorial instincts and are comfortable critiquing and improving copy
  • Are comfortable collaborating with designers and helping shape asset direction for social
  • Are resourceful and able to move quickly with good judgment
  • Can balance brand quality with speed and relevance

Ideal to have:

  • Experience managing brand social accounts
  • A personal Substack, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, or other channel that shows your voice and digital fluency
  • Experience working closely with creative or design teams, or experience building creative work you can showcase
  • A portfolio of writing, social content, or creative work

To ensure you feel good solving a big Human problem, we offer:

  • A stimulating, fast-paced environment with lots of room for creativity
  • A bright future at a promising high-tech startup company
  • Career development and growth, with a competitive salary
  • The opportunity to work with a talented team and to add real value to an innovative solution with the potential to change the future of healthcare
  • A flexible environment where you can control your hours (remotely) with unlimited vacation
  • Access to our health and well-being program (digital therapist sessions)
  • Remote or Hybrid work policy
