Full-Stack Engineer (iOS)

Los Gatos, CA • On-site 3–4 days/week • Full-Time • 5+ years experience
Superpose Labs Corp https://www.superposelabs.ai

Superpose helps people feel seen. We're building the first personalized AI photography coach — an intelligent camera that helps people take better photos of each other, suggesting poses and guiding you to the shot.

Our iOS app is the product, and how fast we can ship, measure, and learn on it decides how quickly we win.

Why join us?

  • Who we are: a founding team from TikTok, Meta, Slack, and Roblox — our CEO scaled creator platforms and launched TikTok's Creator Marketplace; our CTO is an AI researcher and TikTok tech lead who co-founded Bellus3D (acquired by Meta), with 20+ patents in computer vision and generative AI. Meet the team →
  • Real traction, early enough to shape it: we launched in July 2026 and have passed 22,000 downloads and 190,000 AI-generated poses, backed by Khosla Ventures (lead), Meitu, and OVTR VC. Read about us in TechCrunch →
  • No handoffs: you and our Design Engineer own the product end to end. No waiting on contractors, no sign-off queues — an idea can be in TestFlight the same week
  • Huge impact: we're building a next-generation camera and photo app powered by AI. If we succeed, your work defines how people capture the moments they care about

The role

You're a strong full-stack engineer with real iOS exposure. Our iOS app is the product, so most of your work will land there, along with the backend services behind it. You'll also make sure every release is measured, so we learn quickly what works. Your job is to make Superpose move faster: more shipping, more learning, less friction between an idea and a result.

You don't need to be a career iOS specialist. With AI coding tools, we care more about how quickly you learn than about years spent on one platform.

You'll work closely with our Design Engineer. They own the experience and you own the systems behind it. You'll both write SwiftUI, so the two of you can take features from idea to production without handoffs.

What you'll do

  • Ship iOS features in Swift/SwiftUI, end to end, and help own the app's architecture, performance, and stability — including the camera experience at the heart of the product
  • Build the backend pieces features need: APIs, services, and integrations with our AI models
  • Instrument the app and run experiments: event tracking, A/B tests, and push and in-app notifications using the tools we already have. No need to build that infrastructure from scratch
  • Work with AI agents as a team: run multiple AI coding agents in parallel, review their output critically, and ship at a pace that looks like a team of five
  • Own the metrics: watch how users behave, find where they drop off, and bring data-backed ideas to product decisions
  • Help wherever needed: infra, ML pipeline integration, tooling, debugging a TestFlight build. On a small team, everyone does some of everything

What you need

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with real full-stack range: you've built backend services and shipped user-facing products
  • You've shipped at least one iOS app, at work or as a side project. You don't need to be a career iOS specialist, but you know your way around Swift, Xcode, and the App Store
  • Mastery of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor). Not just prompting: you run multiple agents on parallel tasks, give them good context, and hold their output to a high bar. Tell us how your setup works
  • Strong product sense. You have opinions about what to build, not only how, and you're curious about what moves the metrics
  • Excitement about photography. You don't need to be a serious photographer, but you should love the idea of helping people capture great photos of each other
  • You live within commuting distance of Los Gatos and can work on-site 3–4 days a week

Strongly preferred

  • Professional iOS experience (Swift/SwiftUI) on a production consumer app

Bonus points

  • You've worked with the camera or media pipelines on iOS (AVFoundation, Core Image, Metal)
  • You've run A/B tests or set up product analytics
  • You've shipped push notifications or lifecycle messaging
  • You've worked on recommendations, computer vision, or generative AI products
  • You've started something: a company, or a side project with real users

What you'll work with

Swift/SwiftUI on the client, a modern cloud backend, and generative image models in production. We're iOS-first today, with Android and web on the horizon.

What we value

  • High ownership and startup-minded. You treat Superpose like it's yours. You've built serious side projects, worked at a startup, or you're very curious about doing so
  • Mission-driven. You care about photography and about helping people feel seen
  • Collaborative. You give direct, kind feedback and receive it well
  • Clear communicator. You explain tradeoffs simply, in writing and in person
  • Can-do. You'll jump into whatever the company needs this week

Where you'll work

This role is in person 3–4 days a week at our office in Los Gatos, CA. We build side by side, and that's a big part of how we move fast. You must live within commuting distance of Los Gatos (or be relocating before your start date) and be authorized to work in the U.S. We are not considering remote candidates, and we don't work with agencies, staffing firms, or dev shops.

Design Engineer

Los Gatos, CA • On-site 3–4 days/week • Full-Time • 5+ years experience
Superpose Labs Corp https://www.superposelabs.ai

Superpose helps people feel seen. We're building the first personalized AI photography coach — an intelligent camera that helps people take better photos of each other, suggesting poses and guiding you to the shot.

Our iOS app is the product. Every frame, transition, and generated image in it shapes whether someone ends up with a photo they love.

  • No handoffs: you write the spec, prototype it, and ship it yourself. No sign-off queues, no waiting on someone else to build your design
  • Huge impact: we're building a next-generation camera and photo app powered by AI. If we succeed, your taste and style will define how it looks and feels

The role

This is a design role with no handoffs. You'll take a rough product idea, turn it into a working prototype, and ship it in the app yourself, often in the same week. You'll decide how Superpose looks, feels, and shoots, from core UI to the AI-generated imagery that makes the product feel magical.

You'll work closely with our Full-Stack Engineer (iOS). You own the experience and they own the systems behind it. You'll both write SwiftUI, so ideas move from sketch to TestFlight without waiting on anyone.

This isn't a new-grad role. We're looking for someone with real professional experience who has shipped products on a team, worked closely with founders or stakeholders, and can run their own work with little oversight.

What you'll do

  • Own product design end to end: flows, interaction design, visual design, motion, and the design system for our iOS app
  • Prototype in code and ship it: use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) to build prototypes in SwiftUI and take the good ones into production
  • Direct the AI's aesthetic: write and refine prompts and creative workflows for the image and video experiences in the product. Set the bar for what "beautiful" means at Superpose
  • Anticipate what users will love: talk to users, watch how they shoot, and turn what you learn into design — often spotting what they want before they can put it into words
  • Keep the work organized: turn fuzzy ideas into clear specs, set priorities, and keep projects moving as plans change, which in a startup is every week
  • Help wherever needed: marketing visuals, App Store assets, launch content, user research. On a small team, everyone does some of everything

What you need

  • 5+ years of professional experience in product design, design engineering, or a closely related field, including time on a team shipping consumer products
  • A portfolio of polished consumer product work (mobile strongly preferred) that shows your taste and judgment
  • Hands-on use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar) to build and ship real things, not just Figma files
  • Hands-on experience with generative image or video tools and a real skill for prompting them into on-brand, high-quality output
  • A strong, clear aesthetic point of view that you can explain and defend, while staying open to data and feedback
  • Strong organization and project management skills. You can run your own roadmap when things are messy
  • A love of photography. You shoot, you notice light, and you care about the moment a great photo happens
  • You live within commuting distance of Los Gatos and can work on-site 3–4 days a week

Strongly preferred

  • iOS experience, ideally SwiftUI you've shipped to the App Store

Bonus points

  • You've built workflows in ComfyUI, or worked with LoRAs, ControlNet, or custom image/video pipelines
  • You have camera, photo, video, or creator-tool product experience
  • You've started something: a company, a side project with real users, or a creative practice with an audience

In writing, in person, and in the prototypes you make
  • Can-do. You'll jump into whatever the company needs this week
