About the team

The Global Partner Engineering and Operations (PE&O) team is a vital part of Stripe’s Global Partnerships organization, playing a key role in our overall success. We manage the technical and operational dimensions of new and existing strategic product partnerships and programs. Positioned at the nexus of product development, engineering, and partnerships, we facilitate seamless collaboration essential for supporting Stripe’s rapid growth.

Mission: We drive product-partnerships to create non-linear growth for our users and Stripe by developing relationships with partners that enable Stripe to create, enhance, drive adoption of, and monetize world-class products and a supporting ecosystem.

What you’ll do

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Operations Program Manager to join our Global Partner Engineering & Operations (PE&O) team at Stripe. This role will focus on driving excellent partner programs – managing initiatives that service a broad set of partners and their diverse requirements. As we continue to scale our operations, we are looking for an innovative Program Manager to join our team and help strengthen our relationships with payment institutions. This role requires a strong understanding of money movement, storage solutions, and the latest financial technologies. A strong background in program management, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to driving partner success are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will possess a unique combination of analytical skills, operational excellence, and collaborative problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Implementing best practices to improve partnership performance and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Driving multiple projects that enhance partner integrations and operational efficiency, with a specific focus on driving the maturity and sophistication of programs over time.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, regulatory) to align on goals and deliver outcomes that meet partner needs and organizational objectives.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for enhancing money movement efficiency.
  • Program Accountability: Take ownership of the program portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives. Monitor and measure program performance against defined success criteria, resulting in actionable insights and continuous improvements..
  • Partner Stakeholder Management: Develop, manage, and execute end-to-end project plans to improve partner implementations and enhancements, communicating closely with some of Stripe’s key financial partners
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Facilitate alignment, coordination, and execution between internal teams (Engineering, Product, Partner Development, etc.) and external partners on critical operational activities.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 7+ years of program management experience, particularly with external partnerships and technical project management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Proven proficiency in driving the maturity and sophistication of programs, including process efficiency.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g. JIRA).

Preferred qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills with experience developing quantitative frameworks and reporting tools.
  • Strong design and visualization skills for regular presentations, updates, data reports, and communications

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live.

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is CA$118,200 - CA$177,400. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant’s location and can be discussed in more detail during the interview process. Benefits/additional compensation for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; retirement plans; health benefits; and wellness stipends.
