Who we are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
The Compliance Experiences team builds products that help Stripe's platforms confidently navigate regulatory and compliance requirements. We create tools that bring clarity to complex compliance workflows - helping platforms understand what's required, track how their accounts are progressing, and take the right action at the right time
Our products operate at significant scale (millions of accounts) and sit at the intersection of regulatory complexity, platform needs, and end-user experience. We partner closely with teams across Stripe - including Risk, Legal, Engineering, and Go-to-Market - to ensure platforms can meet their compliance obligations while maintaining trust with their own users.
What you’ll do
Responsibilities
- Own the vision and strategy for how platforms experience compliance on Stripe - from understanding new requirements, to monitoring remediation progress, to taking action at scale
- Navigate significant ambiguity to identify the right problems to solve; our domain involves evolving regulations, complex platform needs, and cross-functional dependencies that require judgment and comfort with incomplete information
- Drive organizational clarity across engineering, design, legal, risk, and go-to-market teams to ship cohesive products that work as part of Stripe's broader platform
- Build systems, not just features - design solutions that scale across multiple regulatory regimes, platform types, and user segments, with extensibility for future needs
- Establish feedback loops to understand whether our products are actually working - through metrics, user research, and direct engagement with platforms - and relentlessly iterate based on what you learn
- Act as the voice of the platform in product decisions, synthesizing input from TAMs, support, and direct customer conversations into product direction
Who you are
Minimum requirements
- 10+ years in Product Management, with experience owning strategy and vision for a product area - not just executing on a roadmap handed to you
- Track record of delivering in highly ambiguous environments - you've built products where the requirements were unclear, the stakeholders were many, and you had to drive alignment and make decisions with incomplete information
- Systems-level thinking: you naturally consider how your product fits into a broader ecosystem, how it will evolve over time, and how architectural decisions enable or constrain future work
- Strong cross-functional leadership: you can drive outcomes across engineering, design, legal, operations, and go-to-market without direct authority—including navigating difficult tradeoffs and building trust with senior stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills: you can distill complex regulatory and technical concepts into clear narratives for different audiences—from engineers to executives to customers
- Technical fluency: you can engage meaningfully with engineers on system design, understand API tradeoffs, and hold a high bar for product quality across surfaces
Preferred qualifications
- Experience building B2B products for platforms or marketplaces
- Familiarity with KYC/KYB, onboarding, or identity verification workflows
- Experience with data-informed product development - defining metrics, building dashboards, running experiments, and using data to drive iteration
- Experience leading other PMs or cross-functional pods - formally or informally - and raising the bar for product craft on your team
