About the team

Stripe’s Professional Services team works with our most strategic users; You will work on the highest visibility projects to provide technical expertise to our customers to help accelerate their knowledge, solution design and integrations with Stripe. This role is responsible for leading strategic conversations and developing plans that will transform the payments and financial infrastructure for leading enterprises. The Enterprise Architect should be an innovator, architect and business consultant, who is capable of creating solution content and enabling technical, product and sales teams.

What you’ll do

As an integration engineer in APAC, you will work on interesting problems and deliver impactful integration and launch projects with enterprise clients across Southeast Asia and Greater China. You will consult clients to understand their business stack problems and recommend the right Stripe products and services for their needs, as well as provide guidance on how to best integrate our APIs through partnership with Stripe technical leaders and client engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic technical conversations with business and C-level executives, on attaining key business outcomes
  • Be a trusted technical advisor to clients and project members to solve complex technical challenges, and establish credibility & build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within client organization
  • Facilitate business and strategic cases for ‘first-of-their-kind’ opportunities and drive consensus among decision-makers
  • Lead technical discussions and solution deep dives to deliver on the value of Stripe to their clients. Designs and captures multi-year roadmaps that can be consumed by Implementation Consultants and Integration Engineers to deliver on
  • Collaborate with Sales, Solution Architecture and Implementation teams to drive client engagement, customer wins, and revenue on behalf of the Professional Services team
  • Keep abreast of new Stripe technologies and software products and showcases technical thought leadership in whitepapers, conferences and other industry events
  • Resolving escalated support requests for existing environments
  • Providing recommendations, feedback and best practices to the product and engineering teams
  • Develop scalable value drivers, end-to-end solutions, best practices, architecture guides, mentor and guide team towards practice-wide adoption

Who you are

Minimum requirements

  • 10+ years work experience in an architecture (application, technical, systems, integration), technical consulting, process re-engineering or application delivery/technical engineering role
  • Mandarin speaking proficiency is required to work with enterprise Chinese merchants based in China
  • Ability to think strategically, create technical definitions around customer objectives, develop solution strategies, motivate resources, and deliver results.
  • Comfortable with various code-level debugging (Stripe code and user code)
  • Be comfortable talking about technical concepts, and explaining how Stripe works, both from a product features and API architecture perspective.
  • Experience with enterprise-level systems, including middleware, integrating with third-party APIs, and skills in systems flows, data/business object modeling, and use case/user interface production..
  • Expertise in data analytics for driving insights and optimizing performance.
  • Demonstrates a keen sense of ownership, drive, and entrepreneurship, thriving in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Able to accommodate light travel quarterly for customer on-sites and team meetings

Preferred qualifications

  • Expertise in AI and machine learning with experience in deploying transformative solutions
  • Experience working in the finance or payments industry - B2B, SaaS, and/or Marketplaces
  • Subject matter expertise in a relevant industry, vertical or product
Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in our Bucharest, Romania site have an 80% in-office expectation, and those in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico and Bengaluru, India work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is S$254,900 - S$382,300. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
