About the team

The Finance Operations (FinOps) team provides and enhances core business services that are the backbone for Stripe. FinOps uses data and operational excellence to deliver technology solutions, payroll services, operational excellence, and monetization services to Stripe.

Summary:

We invite you to consider a position as a Monetization Services Analyst at Stripe, where you will play a vital role in enhancing user experiences through the onboarding of contracts and workflows. This position requires collaboration with business partners and engineers to improve financial systems, thereby making a significant impact on Stripe's core operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Onboard custom contracts into our billing systems with precision and accuracy.
  • Develop and manage scalable billing and collection processes for complex agreements.
  • Establish auditable onboarding processes for both new and existing users.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to refine processes and proactively anticipate business needs.
  • Work closely with account managers to address user inquiries regarding onboarding and billing.
  • Act as an advocate for customers by sharing feedback with internal stakeholders to drive system improvements.
  • Contribute to ongoing process enhancements to optimize operations.

Qualifications:

  • * 5+ years of experience in client-facing roles, such as customer success, consulting, or account management.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions and influence outcomes effectively.
    • Detail-oriented with a keen understanding of the broader impact of transactions.
    • Strong analytical skills with a talent for navigating data to identify solutions.
    • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
    • Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals, both internally and externally.
    • Adaptability in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
    • Comprehension of process impacts on customers and financial outcomes.
    • Familiarity with the payments industry is advantageous.
    • Experience with GSuite, Excel, and large datasets; knowledge of SQL is beneficial.
    • Background in project management or consulting with a cross-functional approach.
    • A builder's mindset, open to questioning assumptions and exploring innovative ideas.
    • Passion for learning and problem-solving through infrastructure and automation.
Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico and Bengaluru, India work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.
