Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Web Presence and Platform (WPP) is organized into two pillars: Presence and Platform. The Presence pillar focuses on designing Stripe’s front door experiences, educating customers on the power of our platform, and driving business success. The Platform pillar powers the internal systems that make these experiences fast, stable, and easy to iterate on.

The Expansion pod sits within the Presence pillar and is responsible for increasing Stripe’s reach and conversion across four focus areas: Acquisition, Sold Funnel, SEO, and Global Growth. Our team ensures that Stripe’s web experiences drive measurable impact by reaching new audiences, optimizing conversion, and improving global accessibility.

WPP offers exciting opportunities to shape the first impression of Stripe for millions of users worldwide. We strive to make every interaction count, blending compelling storytelling with systematic design to create seamless, high-performing experiences.

What you’ll do

As a Growth Designer in the Expansion pod, you will play a crucial role in optimizing and expanding Stripe’s web presence. Your work will span acquisition strategies, optimizing the sold funnel, enhancing organic search visibility, and tailoring our website for global audiences. You will combine creative and analytical skills, working cross-functionally to test, refine, and scale design solutions that drive growth.

Your role will include a mix of UX/UI design, experimentation, and strategic storytelling to ensure Stripe.com remains a high-performing growth engine. You’ll collaborate closely with product marketing, engineering, growth, and international teams to craft engaging, user-centered experiences that improve discoverability, engagement, and conversion.

Responsibilities

  • Design for growth: Optimize key pages, experiences, and flows across acquisition, sold funnel, SEO, and global efforts to drive user engagement and conversion
  • Lead experimentation: Develop A/B and multivariate tests, analyze results, and refine experiences based on data-driven insights
  • Create high-impact landing pages: Improve search visibility and engagement by designing SEO-optimized pages that resonate with prospective users
  • Develop interactive content: Design tools (e.g., calculators, generators, templates) that provide utility, enhance engagement, and drive measurable growth
  • Enhance global accessibility: Adapt Stripe’s web experiences for different markets, ensuring usability and conversion across multiple languages and cultural contexts
  • Optimize the sold funnel: Improve post-sign-up experiences and information architecture to enhance activation and retention
  • Maintain and refine design systems: Contribute to Stripe’s web design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and performance across all growth initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Product Marketing, Engineering, Growth, and International teams to align design solutions with business goals and user needs

A remote location, in most cases, is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently or plan to live.

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €52,000 - €78,000. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant’s location and can be discussed in more detail during the interview process. Benefits/additional compensation for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; retirement plans; health benefits; and wellness stipends.
