Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

In this role, you’d be joining the Workplace Experience Operations team which is part of the broader Finance organization. The mission of the Stripe Workplace team is to build and operate inspirational work environments uniquely designed for productivity and wellbeing. Offices that are warm, comfortable, welcoming and also reflect Stripe’s operating principles and the highly regulated industry in which Stripe operates, where safety, security, and confidentiality are paramount.

What you’ll do

We're looking for an organized, flexible, and detail-oriented person who's enthusiastic about--and has a driving need to deliver--the best possible workplace experience for Stripes. You’ll own day-to-day office management for our Toronto office. This includes: implementing programming aligned with the return to office at Stripe, engagement with key stakeholders in supporting office experience & culture, and strengthening vendor relationships to keep Toronto-based Stripes engaged and productive.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with global Workplace colleagues, cross-functional partner teams, and functional leaders to ensure that the office you manage is a productive, comfortable environment that reflect Stripe’s Workplace philosophies
  • Create great first impressions; manage Stripe's front of house experience, ensuring both guests and employees have a positive, productive and functional office environment
  • Use vendor management best practices to provide Stripes best-in-class service whether issues are resolved in-house, by building management or by one of our partners
  • Partner with EHS Manager to ensure health and safety regulations are met
  • Craft relevant communications and documentation regarding Workplace policies and programs for Stripes
  • Work closely with the Regional Experience Manager and our Finance & Strategy partner to manage site opex budget and fixed assets; submit and maintain POs
  • Develop and manage site specific meal and snack programs based on global food program framework
  • Support space planning, office expansions, and layout changes as required; coordinate move logistics
  • Manage and support events to ensure flawless event management and execution
  • Provide remote support to other LATAM offices, as needed, including potential for travel
  • Support the Workplace team's goals by taking on ad hoc tasks and projects as they arise

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in office/facilities management in a fast-paced environment with a working knowledge of building systems and operational best practices
  • Demonstrated ability in vendor and budget management
  • Experience managing and developing a team to achieve goals efficiently
  • Strength in building relationships with key partners to ensure efficiency and understanding on cross-functional projects
  • A proven ability to juggle multiple deadlines and projects; be highly organized with analytical skills

Preferred qualifications

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced workplace with rapidly changing priorities
  • The ability to operate independently, digging into problems to understand the root cause and delivering scalable solutions
  • An orientation toward rolling up your sleeves to get things done
  • A driving need to deliver the best possible experience—you may have been called a perfectionist once or twice
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
