We are hiring a Go-to-Market (GTM) Automation Engineer to join our team located in Washington, DC.

As the Go-to-Market (GTM) Automation Engineer you will:

  • Build systems that turn raw data into pipeline, revenue signals, and outbound actions
  • Design systems that ingest, enrich, score, and route signals from sources including product usage, policy activity, and CRM/marketing data
  • Develop and maintain automation pipelines across tools like n8n, BigQuery, Clay, Pendo, and HubSpot
  • Translate signals into action by pushing outputs directly into outbound workflows, marketing campaigns, and sales execution
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to identify high-value opportunities and improve conversion across the funnel
  • Own rapid experimentation on new signal types, targeting strategies, and workflow designs tied to pipeline generation
  • Identify gaps in data coverage and work cross-functionally to ensure required inputs exist and are usable
  • Continuously improve system reliability, speed, and output quality while reducing manual work across the revenue team

Essential Qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of professional work experience in data, growth, RevOps or a related technical role
  • Prior professional work experience building workflows or automation systems using tools such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar platforms
  • Prior professional work experience with SQL and working with data warehouses such as BigQuery
  • Prior professional work experience with LLMs, prompt design, and agent-based systems
  • Knowledge of APIs, data pipelines, and integrating multiple systems into a unified workflow
  • Ability to translate ambiguous problems into working systems quickly
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced environments with high ownership and minimal structure

Preferred Qualifications for this position include:

  • Prior professional work experience working with GTM systems such as HubSpot or similar CRMs
  • Knowledge of enrichment and data tooling such as Clay
  • Knowledge of product analytics platforms such as Pendo or similar tools
  • Prior professional work experience in a startup or high-growth SaaS environment
  • Knowledge of how data and signals translate into pipeline generation and revenue outcomes
  • Prior professional work experience in experimentation, growth, or building internal tools that drive business impact

This is an in office work opportunity and our teams operate from the Washington, DC office located at L and 15th St. NW five (5) days per week. State Affairs offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package to employees.

The annual compensation range for this role as it is posted is $130,000 to $150,000 for candidates working from the State Affairs office in Washington, DC. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity. Benefits listed in this posting may vary depending on the nature of your employment with State Affairs.
