Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sales Leader to manage and mentor a team of three Account Executives focused on acquiring franchise businesses. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sales background, excellent leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three Account Executives, fostering a high-performance culture.

  • Strategic Planning: in coordination with Afterpay’s Head of Franchise develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for acquiring franchise businesses, aligning with overall company objectives.

  • Performance Management: monitor team progress against quota by creating relevant KPI’s and providing constructive feedback and support to achieve these targets.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential franchise opportunities and stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape.

  • Pipeline Management: Oversee the franchise sales pipeline and forecast.

  • Merchant Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key franchise partners, acting as a trusted advisor and point of escalation.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product, Risk and Operations, to ensure alignment and support for franchise acquisition efforts.

  • Reporting: Provide regular sales updates and forecasts to senior management, highlighting key metrics, achievements, and areas for improvement.

  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development within the team to enhance their skills and performance.


Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role (not manadatory). Experience in the BNPL, fintech, or franchise sector is highly desirable.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification is a plus.


  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce, GSuite and sales analytics tools.


  • Results-oriented with a proactive and driven approach.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
