About the team and role
Product marketing sits at the center of marketing, partnerships, product, design, user research and engineering and is responsible for the increased adoption and engagement of our products and features. Working closely with XFNs across marketing, product, design, research, lifecycle marketing and others, you will champion the voice of our customer and drive the GTM planning & execution for our Core app experience and growth product initiatives. This includes developing the positioning & messaging, identifying the target audience, and working with Product to shape the roadmap and drive the GTM strategy. You will be responsible for planning & executing campaigns that inspire cross-functional teams and engage and educate our users with our product and features.

• You are comfortable working in a scrappy environment.
• You are good at balancing strategy & execution. You’re able to focus on the details as well thinking about the broader narrative and strategy
You are able to communicate both concisely & persuasively to your cross functional partners in both written and verbal forms.
• You are quantitatively and qualitatively savvy. You know how to interpret data and use it to inform your thinking.
What you will do
Develop the positioning, messaging and go to market strategy for or new and existing features
Shape the product marketing strategy for Growth initiatives and our Core Product Experience by leveraging consumer insights and serving as the key strategic stakeholder between cross-functional partners such as (Product Management, Design, Research, Marketing, Comms)
Collaborate with Product to shape the roadmap to address user needs around our Core product experience and retention & engagement initiatives
Partner and coordinate with the creative, marketing and analytics to plan & execute, and measure the success of campaigns
Perform market analysis to develop strategic, insight-driven content acquisition recommendations, by developing a deep understanding of readers and listeners’ needs, the competitive landscape and overall industry trends
Requirements
4-6 years of experience in product marketing or consumer marketing. Have at least 2+ years as a PMM on a consumer product. PMM experience on Growth a plus.
• Consumer background is a plus
Strong desire to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, changing environment
At Scribd, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location. San Francisco is our highest geographic market in the United States. In the state of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $117,500 [minimum salary in our lowest geographic market within California] to $174,750[maximum salary in our highest geographic market within California].
Outside of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $97,000 [minimum salary in our lowest US geographic market outside of California] to $166,000 [maximum salary in our highest US geographic market outside of California].
We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for a competitive equity ownership, and a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
