About the team and role
The paid marketing team is a group of talented, creative individuals who are passionate about driving new growth and making an impact on the company’s overall success. We’re committed to staying up-to-date with the latest marketing trends and finding new ways to reach our potential customers. As the SEM Manager, you will work closely with our paid marketing team to ensure successful implementation of new campaigns, day-to-day maintenance, and optimization of our paid search campaigns to achieve our performance goals. You will collaborate with the team and our Senior Manager of Paid Search to develop and execute new campaigns, conduct keyword research, and create ad copy that resonates with our target audience. Your analytical skills will be essential in monitoring campaign performance, identifying areas of improvement, and making data-driven recommendations to optimize campaigns.
About You
You are collaborative and thrive in achieving a common goal with cross-functional partners.
You are skilled in data interpretation and visualization, able to give actionable insights and recommendations for optimizing campaign performance.
You have a demonstrated history of building and executing successful paid search campaigns across Google and Bing Ads.
You are comfortable working with large data sets and are able to analyze and interpret data to uncover insights and opportunities.
You have a deep understanding of Google Ads and are able to launch campaigns from start to finish, including keyword research, ad copy creation, and bid management.
You are comfortable building out various campaign types, including Search, Performance Max, UAC, Display, and Video campaigns.
What you will do:
Build and launch paid search campaigns across Google, Bing, and Apple Search Ads, including keyword research and ad copy creation.
Perform day-to-day campaign maintenance, including negative keyword management, campaign bid/budget management, and setting up A/B experiments across paid search platforms.
Utilize Google Analytics, spreadsheets, and other reporting tools to collect and analyze data.
Stay up-to-date with the latest SEM trends and best practices.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in paid search campaign creation and management, with a focus on Google Ads, preferably for a B2C software company.
Strong proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Ads Editor, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Experience with high-volume campaigns and analysis of large data segments.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with a team.
Experience with Looker, Looker Studio, and SEMRush is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field.
At Scribd, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location. San Francisco is our highest geographic market in the United States. In the state of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $83,000 [minimum salary in our lowest geographic market within California] to $133,750 [maximum salary in our highest geographic market within California].
Outside of California, the reasonably expected salary range is between $68,000 [minimum salary in our lowest US geographic market outside of California] to $127,250 [maximum salary in our highest US geographic market outside of California].
We carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including but not limited to experience; job-related skill sets; relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs. The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for a competitive equity ownership, and a comprehensive and generous benefits package.
