Scipher is seeking an experienced and results-oriented People, Business Partner to lead assigned People and Culture and talent acquisition activities and relationships. The ideal candidate has strong influencing skills to support and educate business leaders, is extremely detail oriented and organized when their operational hat is on, and can run recruitment projects efficiently.

In this blended position, this role will:

  • coach people leaders though management and performance challenges as a trusted business partner to ultimately drive organizational success and development
  • collaborate with the Chief People Officer to design, deliver and oversee talent acquisition strategies and execution.

This role will interact and team up with the broader People & Culture team who have payroll and benefits covered. The P&C team is comprised of a Chief People Officer, a People Experience Partner (first contact for employees) and a couple of consultants who support payroll, analytics and compensation functions on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities

Business Partner (50%):

  • Provide strategic HR business partner support and coaching to the organization and in particular to the commercial team on talent management, employee relations and training and development
  • Maintain strong relationships with business leaders and people leaders to understand goals and gaps and propose strategic and proactive option and recommendations
  • Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting (15Five), feedback and development plans to increase employee engagement and performance excellence
  • Understand matters relating to strategy, compensation, etc. from the P&C team and translate the appropriate level of information to the client group
  • Participate in initiatives and projects with the P&C team and business leaders to advance Scipher’s corporate goals

Talent Acquisition (50%)

  • Collaborate with the Chief People Officer to design, deliver and oversee talent acquisition strategies and execution that meets Scipher’s growth objectives
  • Create processes for recruitment including sourcing, selection, and onboarding
  • Articulate the employer value proposition to prospective and diverse talent
  • Oversee organizational recruitment and ensure searches are advancing efficiently
  • Monitor, track, and report progress on recruitment metrics such costs, pipeline stats, time-to-fill, offer acceptance rate, post hire success rate, etc.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of generalist and progressive experience in business partnering, people operations and talent acquisition
  • Experience in a fast-paced growth stage organization
  • Resourcefulness and ability to research and roll up sleeves to create / improve structure and processes where gaps exist
  • Strong organizational skills and consistent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in staying up with trending practices, employment laws and requirements
  • Results driven with a proven track record of operational and strategic strength
  • Experience with developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives to enable business results
  • Ability to exercise objective judgment, emotional intelligence and communication skills in problem solving and relationship management
  • Experience in the life sciences or technology space is strongly preferred
