About the role:

  • Rubrik is building a world-class Talent Development function in India, and we want you to lead it. As Manager of Talent Development in Bangalore, you will shape how our Rubrikans learn and lead, and serve as the connective tissue between our global programs and what makes Rubrik’s India community exceptional. You will report to the Senior Director of Talent Development & Inclusion, partner with the global TD&I team and HR Business Partners, while contributing to global initiatives that reach Rubrikans everywhere.
  • This is a builder role. You will define strategy, experiment fearlessly, and use cutting-edge AI to design experiences that scale. What you'll do:

Lead the India TD Team

  • Develop and coach your Bangalore-based direct report, building a strong foundation for their growth and your partnership from day one
  • Be both a hands-on practitioner and an authentic people leader, ensuring the team reflects Rubrik’s values and ambitions

Define and Drive India Learning Strategy

  • Own the L&D strategy for Rubrik’s Bangalore site, while contributing to global programs, roughly a 60% India/APJ and 40% global balance
  • Advocate for India Rubrikans in Global TD design conversations, bringing local perspective and insight, and cultural nuance to global program design decisions
  • Translate business priorities into a clear, measurable talent development agenda anchored in data analysis and tied to outcomes
  • Partner with HRBPs and business leaders to identify capability gaps and design programs that address them with velocity and creativity, applying change management rigor to drive adoption at scale

Design & Deliver Strategic, AI-Powered Learning

  • Use generative AI and agentic AI to create personalised learning experiences for all employee segments and accelerate program development
  • Drive our company-wide Development Days and Week series, architecting a learning experience designed for the company
  • Help Rubrikans become “superworkers” by designing learning experiences that meaningfully integrate AI into daily work, enhancing productivity, creativity, and human-AI collaboration

Architect & Deliver Modern Leadership Development

  • Create scalable leadership programs that accelerate the essential leadership behaviours for our high-velocity, globally distributed, multi-product environment
  • Support manager development initiatives that address the real challenges of leading in a high-growth, high-accountability environment, and in the Age of AI

Build the India Vendor & External Ecosystem

  • Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with India-based L&D vendors, facilitators, content providers, universities, and professional associations, bringing both existing relationships and a strong instinct for where the market is heading

Lead Strategic Programs: Performance, Career, Onboarding & Inclusion

  • Partner with India/APJ HRBPs, Total Rewards, and People Tech to execute and optimise performance management cycles (including Workday)
  • Design career development solutions to connect employees with the right growth opportunities at the right time
  • Drive onboarding excellence for the India site, creating a Day 1 experience that sets Rubrikans up for long-term success and belonging
  • Collaborate with Rubrik’s Global Inclusion lead to support inclusion initiatives at the Bangalore site, including ERG support and ensuring inclusive design is embedded across all India TD programs

Experience You’ll Need:

  • 10+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development/Management
  • Experience as a people manager, with genuine excitement about developing others
  • Ideally, experience as an HR Business Partner or in Organisational Development/Effectiveness
  • Proven track record scaling programs in high-growth global technology companies and hybrid environments
  • Strong program architecture skills, ideally with design thinking experience
  • AI literacy and hands-on experience with generative AI and Agentic AI tools; a natural experimenter who brings others along on the journey
  • Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills, adaptable to diverse audiences from ICs to senior leaders across cultures and time zones
  • Data-driven with experience analysing talent metrics, building measurement frameworks, and translating insights into action
  • Deep knowledge of the India/APJ talent and L&D landscape, with sound judgment in balancing global standards and local needs
  • Systems thinker with a track record of influencing across global and cross-functional dynamics and driving sustainable change
  • A natural mentor, collaborator, and energiser, someone who makes the work better and the team stronger
  • Eagerness to work alongside Rubrikans in our Bangalore office, 3 days a week
