We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our fast-paced, high performing tax department in our HQ located in Palo Alto, CA. This individual will focus on a variety of Income Tax & Indirect Tax responsibilities and will report directly to the Tax Sr. Manager. The ideal candidate will have public accounting experience with a CPA and have a strong working knowledge of ASC740 & US Income Tax Compliance. What You’ll Do:
- Manage the preparation & review of worldwide quarterly & annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740
- Manage the preparation & review of US federal, state and local income tax returns, sales tax returns, and other tax filings
- Assist with external audit requirements for quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Coordinate with local statutory filing team on worldwide income tax return filings review
- Coordinate with tax advisors on annual and ad-hoc consulting projects/studies
- Manage monthly tax account reconciliations for direct & indirect tax accounts
- Maintain and enhance internal controls over tax processes
- Partner with cross functional teams including Finance, Accounting, IT, Legal, and Technical Accounting to ensure tax processes are complete, streamlined, and scalable
- Lead and participate in tax-related special projects, such as tax planning, research, M&A, and implementation of new tax strategies
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance tax efficiency and accuracy
- Supervise and develop direct report
Experience You’ll Need:
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires professionals to co-locate in person 3 days per week
- BS in Accounting or related field, with CPA certification required
- 7+ years of experience in corporate income tax accounting & tax compliance
- ASC 740 knowledge, with experience preparing and reviewing corporate income tax returns, provisions, and reporting disclosures for forms 10-Q and 10-K
- Experience with international tax issues
- Understanding of US indirect tax concepts & filings
- Prior supervisory experience
- Proficiency in tax software and financial systems
- Excellent attention to detail, prioritization skills and analytical/problem solving skills
- Must be a self-starter, team player and able to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment and comply with tight deadlines
- Superior organization and verbal/communication skills
