Rubrik is looking for an entry level Engineering Operations Program Manager that will report to the VP of Engineering Operations. This role is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to kick-start their career in program management within an engineering organization. The Entry-Level Engineering Operations Program Manager will play a crucial supporting role in optimizing our engineering processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the smooth execution of projects from inception to completion. This individual will work closely with engineering teams and other cross-functional stakeholders to facilitate communication, track progress, and help identify and resolve operational roadblocks.

Responsibilities:

  • Project & Program Support:
    • Assist in the planning, execution, and tracking of engineering projects and programs such as contract renewals and new hire trainings.
    • Help define project scope, goals, and deliverables under the guidance of senior program managers.
    • Support the creation and maintenance of project schedules, timelines, and resource plans.
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and escalate issues to senior team members.
    • Organize and facilitate project meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and tracking action items.
  • Process Improvement & Optimization:
    • Contribute to the analysis of current engineering workflows and identify areas for improvement.
    • Assist in documenting and standardizing operational processes and best practices.
    • Help implement new tools and methodologies to enhance engineering efficiency and productivity.
    • Support the adoption of agile methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Collect, organize, and analyze data related to engineering operations and project performance.
    • Assist in creating dashboards and reports to provide visibility into key metrics and project status.
    • Help identify trends and insights from data to inform decision-making and process enhancements.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Facilitate effective communication among engineering teams, product managers, and other stakeholders in Legal, Finance, Security teams.
    • Help disseminate information, updates, and decisions to relevant parties.
    • Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal teams.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Management:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including specifications, requirements, and user guides.
    • Contribute to the development and organization of a centralized knowledge base for engineering operations.
  • Procurement & Administrative Support:
    • Manage end-to-end procurement process of licensing software and consulting services within the Engineering Org. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Security, Privacy, Legal, Finance) and the vendors to see the process through completion in a timely manner.
    • Provide general administrative support to the engineering operations team as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of engineering program or project management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical field.
  • Capable of strong individual contribution and influence across non-direct reporting teams
  • Detail-oriented and able to understand the bigger picture by using your technical expertise and problem solving abilities to prioritize and manage blocking issues.
  • Software and/ or hardware product development and release management experience.
  • Ability to ramp up quickly and learn new technologies with minimal lag time.
  • SaaS and data management industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira.
  • Experience in a high growth business environment.
The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
