The Rubrik information Technology team influences business processes, employee experience, and technologies to scale our organization to $1B+. This team creates operational efficiency across the company by centralizing the management of Infrastructure, Technology, and Data. The IT team ensures all stages of the software development lifecycle in a secured environment and scrutinizes the deployment of proper processes and governance. They champion Rubrik on Rubrik and are the first customers of the Engineering teams at Rubrik.

Rubrik Corp IT is constructed of 100% SaaS and 0% on-premises. The IT team caters to accelerated business value enhancement and multiple day-to-day business processes through our varied SaaS applications like Salesforce.com, Oracle Netsuite, Workday, Snowflake, Etrade, MulSoft, etc. This team also delivers high-paced business outcomes with 100% system uptime backed by agile, nimble, simple, but cohesive Cloud architectures.

About the role:

We seek an accomplished and highly driven Senior IT Infrastructure & Corporate IT Portfolio/Program Manager to lead and oversee our entire IT Infrastructure and Corporate IT program management function, based in our Palo Alto office. This pivotal role will define, implement, and optimize our foundational IT systems and services, driving strategic initiatives that ensure operational excellence, scalability, and security. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex infrastructure programs, a deep understanding of IT operations, and exceptional collaboration skills to partner effectively with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:

Strategic Program Leadership: Define, champion, and execute the overall IT Infrastructure and Corporate IT program strategy, aligning with company-wide business objectives, growth initiatives, and security requirements.

End-to-End Program Management: Lead and manage the full lifecycle of multiple concurrent, complex IT Infrastructure and Corporate IT programs, from ideation and planning through execution, deployment, and post-go-live optimization. This includes establishing program governance, managing budgets, timelines, resources, and scope across multiple technical domains.

Infrastructure Portfolio Management: Oversee the rationalization, modernization, and continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure portfolio, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness.

Technical Transformation & Revitalization: Drive the implementation and revitalization of critical IT Infrastructure and Corporate IT programs, with significant hands-on experience in:

  • IT HelpDesk & Service Management: Enhancing user support, ticketing systems, and service delivery processes.
  • Endpoint Management: Deploying and managing device lifecycle, security, and configuration across desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Network Infrastructure: Implementing and optimizing local (LAN), wide area (WAN), and wireless networks.
  • Systems Engineering: Managing server environments (physical and virtual), operating systems, and virtualization platforms.
  • Storage & Data Center Operations: Overseeing storage solutions (SAN, NAS, object storage) and data center efficiency.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Leading initiatives for public, private, and hybrid cloud deployments, migrations, and optimization (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Remote Connectivity & Facilities (RCF): Ensuring robust remote access, VPN solutions, and IT support for corporate facilities.
  • Database Management: Overseeing database infrastructure, performance, and reliability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key strategic partner and collaborate extensively with executive leadership and functional teams including:

  • IT Teams: Partnering with various IT functions (e.g., Application teams, Operations, Network teams) for seamless delivery.
  • Engineering: Collaborating closely on infrastructure requirements for product development and scalable solutions.
  • Information Security (InfoSec): Embedding security best practices, ensuring compliance with security policies, and managing infrastructure-related security programs.
  • Legal: Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, data privacy, and intellectual property protection within infrastructure programs.

Stakeholder Management & Communication: Establish and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, effectively communicating program status, risks, challenges, and successes to technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.

Process Optimization & Best Practices: Champion best practices in program management, ITIL processes, and infrastructure lifecycle management. Identify opportunities for efficiency gains, automation, and continuous improvement across the infrastructure landscape.

Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with third-party hardware, software, and service vendors, ensuring adherence to contracts, service levels, and project deliverables.

Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to project managers, technical leads, and team members within your programs, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Experience You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT program or portfolio management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing complex IT Infrastructure and Corporate IT initiatives.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience leading large-scale implementations and significant revitalizations across a broad range of infrastructure domains (HelpDesk, Endpoint, Network, Systems, Storage & Data Center, Cloud, RCF, Database).
  • Strong understanding of modern IT infrastructure architectures, cloud computing principles (IaaS, PaaS), networking protocols, operating systems (Linux, Windows), and virtualization technologies.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and build consensus among diverse technical and business stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, particularly in complex technical environments.
  • Proficiency with project and program management tools such as JIRA.
  • Proficiency with collaboration and productivity suites, particularly Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive).
The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
