About the Team

Corporate accounting’s mission is to create value to the Company through integrity, leadership and business partnership. Our primary responsibility is to prepare and report the consolidated financial statements to senior management and to enhance the Company in making informative business decisions. This position will work closely with the People Operations and Accounting & Finance teams to improve overall processes and will provide exceptional internal customer service.

About The Role

As an Accounts Payable Lead, you will oversee the procure to pay platform and contribute to the month-end close process. You will be responsible for the continuous improvement and automation of the platform underlying the AP and OPEX processes. Cross functional collaboration with FP&A, Legal, and department heads is essential to this role, so effective communication and project management skills are a must. The broader Finance and Accounting teams will rely on you to build and provide insights into spend. This role reports to the Corporate Accounting Manager.

Requirements

  • Manage the P2P software (Zip): code inbound invoices, review PO requests, and process vendor payments in a timely manner
  • Manage vendor relationships end-to-end, from onboarding through regular pay cycles, troubleshooting errors, escalating matters to the necessary cross-functional teams as necessary
  • Prepare and provide year-end 1099 tax forms to vendors, as necessary
  • Create JE accruals, reconciliations, and flux analyses as part of month-end close (5 days) with a strong attention to detail
  • Oversee the company’s travel and expense platform (RAMP) and corporate credit card program
  • Regularly collaborate with software partners (Ramp, Zip, Gappify) to optimize and automate the AP, T&E, and month end close operations
  • Oversee and coach offshore staff to drive data entry in the AP process

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in accounts payable
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
  • Experience working with modern ERP, Expense, and Procurement systems (e.g. Zip, Ramp, Gappify, and NetSuite)
  • Experience working in a fast face, high-growth start-up company environment
  • Strong desire to build and improve processes that streamline and automate operations
  • Excellent communication skills and a problem-solving mindset
  • Strong understanding of general ledger structures, accounting skills, and financial reporting

Location

This position is classified as HYBRID within the Greater Oakland Area. with an expectation to be in-office on Tuesdays and Thursdays weekly.

Compensation

$62,000 - $84,000 on annual base salary. The compensation range may be adjusted based on experience and location.

Pay Transparency

Our compensation reflects several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position represents the expected salary for this position. Ultimately, in determining your pay it will be based on several factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and other job related factors. Roofstock is a total compensation company; the base salary is only part of our total compensation package.
