About the role

Operational Data is a Software Engineering team whose mission is to facilitate applying data-driven approaches to company operations, manufacturing, and R&D, sitting between data collection and data exploitation, building tools and services to extract value of the data. 

A Senior Engineer’s mission is to provide excellent technical skills, experience, and vision to help the team achieve their goals.

Essential skills

  • Tertiary Diploma, Certificate or degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or demonstrated equivalent level of knowledge. 
  • Minimum of 6 years experience within a software engineering related discipline 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills 
  • Team player with a positive attitude 
  • Experience with Python Development 
  • Experience with common data analysis libraries/tools such as Pandas/Numpy, ETL pipelines, SQL 
  • Software architecture, experience building services and APIs 
  • Docker experience 
  • Database knowledge 
  • Experience with Git 
  • Experience with Jira, Redmine, Bugzilla, Mantis, or other issue tracker 

Desirable skills

  • Knowledge of data science and numerical analysis techniques 
  • Experience with agile development practices 
  • Kubernetes 
  • Data visualization 
  • Web Application Development 
  • User Interface Development
