PEOPLE & CULTURE BUSINESS PARTNER

The People & Culture Business Partner is responsible for providing advice and counsel in all areas of HR including on-going employee relations, employee development, interpretation of HR policies, and creating and implementing new programs and initiatives. The position formulates partnerships across the People & Culture function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization

 What you'll get to do: 

  • Drive the experience for all employees and ensure behavior of leaders and employees fully aligns with culture.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, and conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides policy guidance and interpretation related to employment matters.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.
  • Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

You'll bring these qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of progressive experience in a Human Resources Generalist role supporting a blended exempt/non-exempt workforce
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of employment labor laws, regulations, and principles in a multi-state environment.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.

  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Innovative thinker and continuous learner, is positive with a growth mindset, drives change with a "can do" attitude, is results-minded and action-oriented

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. 

 In addition to base salary, Rocket Lab offers a comprehensive total compensation package based on individual qualifications and experience, which may include cash or equity incentives. Employees will also be eligible for medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) retirement plan options, and to purchase discounted stock through Rocket Lab's Employee Stock Purchase Program. 

Base Pay Range (CO Only)
$77,000$115,000 USD
