About the role

The LC1 logistic team provides the complex a sustainment function to support staff, contractor, customer and supplies and equipment transport movements and catering, fuels oils and lubricants levels and parts inventory management to ensure achievement of the launch schedule.

The Logistics and Inventory Lead is responsible for leading an agile team of permanent and casual staff, delivering planned and reactive logistic support requirements to LC1. 

The role requires quick thinking problem solver who is able to build and maintain positive business relationships with other Rocket Lab department peers, local suppliers and service providers in order to effect short-notice requirements. 

  
Essential skills

  • 5 years + previous experience within a stores/logistic discipline, or current relevant company experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence others behaviour
  • A proactive and can-do attitude with the ability to keep calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lead a team and build effective working relationships with external and internal customers
  • Organised and proactive

Preferred skills

  • Experience in cycle count is desirable
  • ERP experience is desirable
