About the role
As a Production Test Technician at Rocket Lab you will be responsible for vibration and vacuum chamber testing of the Electron Launch Vehicle components throughout the production process.
Primarily the role will be carrying out routine production acceptance testing activites, following the standard procedure and documenting any test anomalies in the appropriate system. A percentage of the role will also be carrying out qualification testing on new designs, using the same testing resources.
The Production Test team are responsible for the test facility, and managing the schedules of both acceptance and qualification requirements to ensure both needs are met without compromising delivery milestones.
This is a Monday - Thurs, full time permanent position.
Essential skills
- Trade qualified in relevant industry
- Must be able to demonstrate 4+ years of relevant industry experience
- Familiarity with the operation of electrical test equipment
- Experience with compiling concise and accurate test reports
- Precision mechanical and electrical assembly
- Comfortable working to exacting standards, including cleanliness for oxygen service
- Have a sound understanding of standard industry ESD policy
- Have a good level of eyesight and be able to inspect assemblies to a high workmanship standard
