Director of Recovery (Neutron)

As the leader of the Neutron Recovery team, you will be responsible for the team, overall architecture, development of systems, execution and operations to recover the Neutron launch vehicle.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO

  • Build a high performing team spanning development through to operations of recovery systems (marine vessels, ground support equipment etc.) required to support Neutron recovery
  • Deliver Neutron recovery systems including but not limited marine vessels, ground support equipment and facilities, overseeing the design, construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance
  • Provide technical and strategic guidance on recovery systems and operations including system architecture and design, development and operations
  • Build strong relationships with external vendors, suppliers
  • Deliver through-life-support and maintenance of all recovery systems

YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or other technical discipline
  • 5+ years in marine engineering, operations
  • 3+ years in engineering leadership experience

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:

  • 5+ years leadership experience in fast paced development programs
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience building, maintaining, modifying, and operating marine vessels, equipment, mechanical or electrical ground support equipment
  • Experience with hazardous operations and hazardous material handling
  • Experience with complex multi-disciplinary engineering projects
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high stress environments
  • Ability to work autonomously
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

In addition to base salary, Rocket Lab offers a comprehensive total compensation offer package based on individual qualifications and experience, including company stock. Employees will also be eligible for medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) retirement plan options, and to purchase discounted stock through Rocket Lab's Employee Stock Purchase Program.
Base Pay Range (CA Only)
$185,000$250,000 USD
