About the role
Rocket Lab is a highly vertically integrated operation with complex builds and a high pace of design innovation.  Master Schedulers are in charge of the Sales and Operations Planning cycle at Rocket Lab, working with Engineering, Finance, Sales, Mission Management, and Operations to ensure the demand needs, supply capabilities, and financial goals are all met.  Master Schedulers are essential to Rocket Lab as key planners and communicators, working closely with the Executive team. 

 

Essential skills

  • A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent, but still requires oversight when presenting to executives. May assume a team lead role for the work group. 
  • Proven ability to manage a Sales and Operations Planning process 
  • Proven knowledge of Material Planning and Production Planning fundamentals 
  • Proficient in MRP systems 
  • Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, math and statistics 
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with experience presenting to executives 
  • Team oriented, strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and to multiple deadlines 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently 

Desirable skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain or other relevant fields 
  • 5+ years of related experience as Material Planner, Production Planner, or equivalent  
  • Prior experience in aerospace, EV automotive, or other disruptive manufacturing industries 
  • Prior experience in rapid growth environment 
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings 
  • Experience with AS9100, US export controls (ITAR and EAR) 
  • Team oriented, strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and to multiple deadlines
