Aegis is currently partnering with a growing manufacturer in Algonquin to identify a Controls Engineer to join their team!

Responsibilities:
- Program, implement, and startup of automation and integration projects.
- Ensure smooth implementation guaranteeing customer satisfaction.
- Problem solving, including identifying risk areas and mitigation strategies through prototyping and preliminary testing
- Travel to customer sites for commissioning projects.
Requirements:
- 3-8+ years of experience with electrical systems, including AC and DC circuits, instrument loops, and PLCs
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.
- Experience with PLC Programming Software (Studio5000, RSLogix 500, FactoryTalk Suite, GE Products, Ignition, Aveva/Wonderware)
- College degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus
- Comfortable with up to 20% of local travel
