Maintenance Supervisor

Position Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor leads and coordinates maintenance activities to support safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations. This role provides hands-on technical leadership while supervising, training, and developing maintenance personnel to maximize equipment uptime and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, assign, and prioritize maintenance work activities.
  • Train, coach, and mentor maintenance technicians on troubleshooting, repairs, and safe work practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and quality standards.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance emergencies.
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, HVAC, welding equipment, lift trucks, and facility systems.
  • Install, relocate, and commission equipment as needed.
  • Perform and oversee maintenance-related welding and fabrication.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
  • Journeyman-level experience, apprenticeship completion, or equivalent maintenance background.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding systems.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards and industrial safety practices.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
